Our balance boards for surfers utilize a rail-to-rail riding motion with a roller that is parallel to the length of the board. This approach offers the rider an experience that is much truer to the feel of actually surfing waves.
Our balance boards are designed by surfers, for surfers. This unique approach uses a rail-to-rail motion which gives the surfer a realistic experience of surfing, skating, or snowboarding. The GoofBoard serves as an excellent tool for both new riders - improving their balance, and experienced surfers - looking to refine fundamental skills.
The mini spikes help to activate trigger points and promote blood circulation in your feet, while the diameter is bigger than most, so that the entirety of both of your feet can make contact with the board.
The Ebb and Flo balance board for surfing has to be one of the most stylish boards on the market. If you talk to Ebb and Flo owners, they often admit that they often leave the board out in their living room as a piece of decor.
The Indo Board Pro is the updated model of the Indo Board Original, best for surfers who may already have a bit of experience with balance boards or who simply want one that can grow beyond the basic tricks.
Vew-Do has a handful of different balance boards on the market, all with different shapes and intentions. The Vew-Do Flow is built with overall board sports in mind, as reflected by snowboard-style shape (rather than the typical oval shape with other balance boards). The roller is also unique with tapered edges, making it easier to rock both side to side and back to front, another unique feature.
You can remove the base of the balance board to simply stand on it and use the base as a balance board while working at a standing desk. The three other modules increase the difficulty in balancing. This would be an ideal board for families as you can swap out the intensity, or a board for those who want to practice their balancing passively as they work.
The more advanced model to the Revolution 101, the Revolution core balance board for surfing has no stops and is slightly harder to control. This board was made for all-around board sport athletes who want to progress when it comes to doing tricks.
Some elements of balance boards like wooden stoppers (made to keep you from falling off of the roller), a grip deck, a large width, all help make balance boarding easier. Boards without stoppers, a smooth roller, and a smooth surface tend to be more challenging to ride.
With adult supervision, balance boards are great for kids. Some models, like the Indo Board Classic, the Revolution 101, the Driftsun Balance Board, and the Blue Planet Balance Board have wooden stoppers to make balancing a bit easier. However, kids are quick to learn and might be surpassing their parents after just a few weeks of practice!
Designed with input from many Bal-A-Vis-X practitioners and trainers, the Brain Buddy Balance Board incorporates proprioceptive input to your Bal-A-Vis-X practice. Rockers are easily adjustable with one wing-nut to increase balance difficulty as needed. Boards are made with white beech plywood and covered with a slip-resistant texture. Board dimensions: 21.5"x14.5"x3", 10lbs
Bring movement to your static standing desk with the Aero Balance Board. The Aero balance trainer brings dynamic movement into your sedentary work routine by encouraging you to gently rock back-and-forth or wobble side-to-side while using your standing desk. Performing these micro-movements while you stand will enhance your functional strength and increase coordination, improving your balance and stability, reducing back and joint pain, and even help alleviate arthritis in your knees. Regardless of your movement style, ability level or desired level of effort, the standing board can be customized to fit you. Whether you want to re-arrange the cushion placements or simply alter the air pressure, the board's cushions are 100% adjustable and can become more or less challenging to your liking.
Placing the cushions on the outer edges of the balance trainer will support active standing, while allowing for minimal amounts of movement. This arrangement is perfect for easing into using the standing desk board or if you are looking for a more subtle movement option while still delivering overall health benefits. As you get more comfortable with the standing board, you can try introducing balance training or even create your own unique cushion arrangement.
In comparison to active standing, balance training requires more core, back, and leg muscle engagement, coordination, and focus. Standing desk balance board training is great for gaining overall functional strength to aid in rehabilitation efforts, injury prevention, and can help improve posture. And on top of the health benefits, it's fun and easy to use!
Generally, I say stay away from random Amazon if you prefer higher-quality pieces and I stand by it when it comes to most wooden toys. For example, if you look at reviews of this board you can see photos of how the wood splits up because of the cheap glue and filling of the plywood.
Discover various ways to balance by yourself! This toy comes with a curved plywood board and rope that help children learn to balance by standing up, sitting down, rocking back and forth. Great for developing physical strength and body control.
The SpringCore Balance Board (Max Loading Weight: 260 lbs) is designed to assist athletes with improving balance and stability by strengthening the core and leg muscles while promoting increased ankle range of motion and joint mobility. It features two reinforced 3/8" thick warp-resistant wood boards that conceal heavy-duty industrial-grade metal springs mounted onto a non-skidding lower platform. The upper platform is lined with a non-slip cushion for added comfort and safety while balancing. The SpringCore Balance Board targets stance, proper body alignment, quick weight transfer, and balance. It is especially great for sports like tennis, baseball, volleyball, and basketball. It is also the best balance board for fitness. A little practice goes a long way on the Spring Core Balance Board!
Reply from Sport-Thieme team: Vielen Dank für Ihren Hinweis.
The Gymba is a revolutionary balance board that is specifically designed to be used at a standing desk, not in a gym (although it has plenty of uses away from the desk as well!). With the Gymba you can actually "walk while standing," activating the leg muscles, engaging the core, improving posture and circulation, all while getting your work done. It does this without disrupting your concentration, inviting ergonomic injury or damaging your floors as other balance boards can.
This concave orientation is also great for stretching and massaging your feet, whether that be using the architected curvatures of the board itself or using the two repositionable massage balls that are included with the Gymba; one is soft, one is hard (see video).
Each Gymba massage ball can be placed anywhere on the board. For a more precise massage, use one ball. In order to massage a larger area, place two balls side-by-side. The best massage effect is obtained when using this feature barefoot or with thinly-soled shoes. Start off slowly with the softer ball and increase pressure gradually, eventually working up to the higher-density ball if it feels good.
Flip the Gymba over to the convex side to unlock even more stretching and exercise features. Use it for calf stretches, back stretches, enhanced crunches, toe lifts, heel lifts, plus many other stretches and exercises (see examples in the videos), whether at your standing desk or anywhere you want to do some body work.
Trying to get work done at home when kids are also schooling remotely can be challenging enough. Don't let your Gymba lie idle against the wall when you're not using it, pass it on to your kids to help them stay better focused on their school work; it will help them expend all that bottled-up energy that they can accumulate from long hours of sitting in front of a computer. Better yet, get them their own Gymba boards!
The smooth board is meant to be used barefoot and more closely mimics surfing. The grip board is meant to be used with shoes, however; you can still use it barefoot. We also offer grip tape you can purchase in case you try the smooth and would like to add the extra grip!
I bought this for my granddaughter so she can learn to snowboard and surf as early as possible per the request of her parents. Seems nuts to me but they and she love it! And that's all that matters to me. So I say spoil them rotten! It's an awesome gift and learning to balance on this will definitely help.
I am one to read all the reviews before I buy something, especially when I am spending alot of money. I bought the wobbel board with felt for my 18 month old for Christmas this year. He is a very active little boy and loves climbing and any kind of obstacle course type of activity (crawling through small spaces, standing precariously on top of things, etc.) I want to encourage this kind of risky play while also setting boundaries, but also give him opportunities to do some gross motor play safely and supervised. A few weeks before Christmas, I started to wonder if the wobbel board was going to be worth it, given the price, and even considered returning it before gifting it to him. I didn't, and even though it has only been a few days, he has LOVED this thing! He is still pretty young for it, but it has been played with more than anything else he received for Christmas. He has wobbeled on it (while saying "woah"), stood on top of it, sat on it and slid down, and used it for his cars and animals. He is only 18 months old, so I know it will get many more years of play! I love that this thing is made of solid wood and can hold a lot of weight. I almost went for a cheaper brand on Amazon, but I am glad I didn't because this feels so much more sturdy (I am a carpenter's daughter and have a strong dislike for particle board). I also love having the felt since we have hard flooring. The felt doesn't prohibit him from enjoying it as a slide, either. Overall, I really recommend it! Especially if you have a little one who loves gross motor play! 59ce067264
