How to Access the Facebook App Dashboard
The Facebook App Dashboard is a web interface that allows you to configure settings, manage permissions, monitor API usage, and perform other tasks related to your Facebook app. The App Dashboard is also used to start the App Review, Business Verification, and Individual Verification processes, if required.
To access the App Dashboard, you need to have a Facebook app created and registered on the Facebook Platform. If you don't have an app yet, you can create one by following the steps in this guide: Create an App.
Once you have an app, you can access the App Dashboard by going to the Apps panel and clicking on the name of the app you want to configure. This will load the app in the dashboard and you can then adjust its settings.
The App Dashboard consists of a toolbar, a dashboard panel, and a sidebar menu. The toolbar displays basic information about your app, such as its ID, mode, type, and secret. It also allows you to switch between your apps, create new apps, and create test apps. The dashboard panel shows API usage meters and important notifications about your app. The sidebar menu contains various sections that let you access different features and settings of your app.
Some of the most common sections in the sidebar menu are:
Basic Settings: This section allows you to provide general information about your app, such as its name, contact email, category, domains, privacy policy URL, etc. You can also find your app secret here, which is used to generate app access tokens for some of the Facebook Login flows.
Products: This section allows you to add or remove products that your app will use, such as Facebook Login, Messenger Platform, Instagram Basic Display API, etc. Each product has its own settings and documentation that you can access from here.
Roles: This section allows you to assign roles to other people who may be helping you with development or administration of your app. You can choose from different roles with different levels of access and permissions, such as Admins, Developers, Testers, Analytics Users, etc.
App Review: This section allows you to submit your app for review by Facebook if it requires permissions or features that are not available to all apps by default. You can also check the status of your review requests and respond to feedback from Facebook reviewers here.
Support: This section allows you to contact Facebook support if you encounter any issues or have any questions about your app. You can also access helpful resources such as documentation, FAQs, forums, blogs, videos, etc.
